James Fergus kicks Penalty with last play....

James Fergus was the hero for T's First XV on Saturday afternoon. The Young fly half was a standout throughout the game with some lovely tactical kicking.

T's took the lead through an early Fergus penalty before the visitors responded with 2 quick tries. Will Lewis grabbed his first try for the 1st XV as he sprinted through the midfield before stepping the fullback for a great score. Fergus was successful with the conversion.

Thurrock Stalwart, Tani Loka scored next as he crashed over from close range before Reed's once again responded with a try of their own. Fergus had the final say of the first half as he slotted a fantastic Penalty from 40 meters out to see T's lead at the break 18-17.

The topsy-turvy scoring of the first half was to be repeated in the 2nd as Reeds took the lead with a Penalty of their own before they stretched their lead to 9 points with 10 minutes to go.

Thurrock continued to throw everything at the visitors and scored with a couple of minutes to go as the returning Dan Ulph grabbed his first try of the season with a smart finish following a trademark driving maul.

There was still time for more late drama as T's were awarded a Penalty for an offside just outside the Reeds 22. Fergus stepped up and showed great composure to secure the Men's 2nd win of the season with the final kick of the game

There was also a debut for Colt, Elijus Jankus who became the latest Thurrock Youth player to step up into the Senior setup

The Mongrels were also in action as they hosted local rivals Pegasus 2s. The visitors took home the bragging rights as they triumphed 37-33

It's a rest week next week as the Final round of the 6 Nations takes place, before T's penultimate game of the season see's them travel to Beckenham on Saturday 22nd March
