Today (Monday the 11th November 2019) the trustees of TRFC have signed the required documents for work to begin on the Orsett Heath Academy project on the TRFC site as previously described.

All six trustees signed these documents.

Work will begin on site on Wednesday the 13th November 2019.

Members should be aware there will be a works compound surrounding the site and that, under no circumstances, should anyone enter this compound without first getting approval to do so from the contractor and necessary supervision. Please adhere to all signs and warnings.

This is an exciting time for TRFC. Over the next few months we will see many changes on site and members should be aware that there will be some inconvenience. For example on some busy 1st XV match days and junior events, it may be required to park on the council pitches like we do for the annual Mini Festival.

The entire site project is due to be completed by September 2020 by which time we will see all of the benefits and changes promised in the project brief.

This will be my final update as my involvement in the project ceases at this juncture.

Regular meetings between the project manager, contractor and representatives from TRFC will continue throughout the construction phase and the main committee will be briefed as to the progress of, and any issues with, the project as we move forward.
