This weekend saw 3 Senior sides in action with the Men's First XV and The Mongrels both away to East London & Romford 3's respectively whilst the Ladies hosted Brunel on Sunday at Oakfield.

The First XV wrapped up their pre-season fixtures with a 46-0 victory over East London. T's ran in 8 tries with 4 former colts scoring. Lewis Squelch notched a brace whilst the other youngsters to score were Charlie Ovey, Elliot Chew & Last season's Colt's Captain Sam Ingram. Yuri Navti returned to the team to score as did Stalwart Tani Loka. New Kiwi signing, John Frear finished off the try scoring whilst also adding 3 conversions. Jake O'Kill also featured in his first game for T's having signed from Southend. Jake has tormented our pack over the last few season's and will no doubt be a welcomed addition to the team. Of the 22 players named, 17 players had come through the mini & Youth section with 7 from last season's Colts side.

The Mongrels were unlucky as they were defeated by Romford 3's. There was another great sign of the future though in this game as they also had 3 more colts from last season's squad bringing the grand total to 11 boy's that have stepped up into Senior Rugby this Summer.

The Ladies hosted Brunel at Oakfield on Sunday and came out winners 26-14. Another hard fought game as they continue preparations for the South Championship and the First game away to London Irish on 15th September
